NATIVES

The most visible issue recently is the settlement of the Cobell litigation.  While this settlement represents a milestone, it is viewed by most native people as unfair.  I will support hearings on whether the settlement was fair, and explore the possibility of legislation busting open the settlement, .  There are too many unknowns as the terms of this settlement become known.  Legislation would provide additional terms to further address perceived inequalities as they arise.
